WALKIE - TALKIES

Cine-COMM has developed a proprietary interface that greatly improves how the RIEDEL Bolero can connect to Production Walkie-Talkies.
A LEVEL 2 System can interface with up to 3 Walkies, whereas a LEVEL 3 can connect up to 6.

How does it work? For each Walkie connected to our Base System, every intercom User can listen and transmit to the channel that particular Walkie is set to. If, for instance, you need to monitor “Production Ch1”, “Camera Ch6”, and “Grip Ch8” you would need to connect 3 Walkies set to those channels.

A User’s BeltPack can be configured to fully control any or all the connected Walkies, or just to listen.

Currently, we only have connectivity with walkies using the industry standard Motorola M-1 connector – should you have a different need, please enquire.
By connecting just a few Walkies to the intercom system, Productions can realize modest savings in not needing Walkies for the intercom Users.

Voice of God / Speakers

Multiple VoG Speakers and Microphones can be connected to our LEVEL 2 and LEVEL 3 Systems.
In addition to the “broadcast” going out over the VoG Speakers, every intercom User can hear that “broadcast” in their Headset – greatly increasing the efficacy of the VoG system.

Multiple Users, like a Director or A.D.s, can speak over the VoG system using their Headset microphone and a press-to-talk button on their BeltPack, thus again, accessing all their communication needs through one easy-to-use device.
However, VoG Systems are often plagued with feedback issues… Cine-COMM has addressed that in our LEVEL 2 and LEVEL 3 Systems by including powerful Feedback Management Hardware to combat this.

Ear Wigs

We have connected “Ear-Wig” systems to our Comms. This is useful for Director’s or Script Supervisors to be able to give Actors line reads, etc. during a take… again through their BeltPack and Headset.

3rd Party Intercom Systems

We can connect 3rd Party traditional intercoms if they have the ability of audio in/out. An example of this would be the Clear-Com/HME DX200, a common film industry staple.

When connected to our system, all Users on the 3rd Party system would behave like a single-User to those on the RIEDEL BOLERO system.
By connecting a 3rd Party Intercom to our system, Productions can realize modest savings if, for example, that system already comes in the price of a crane or is already in-use by a department.

ZOOM / VIdeo Conferencing

We can connect our entire intercom network to a ZOOM / Video Conferencing call.
This is useful should a remote Crew Member need to interface with the Shooting Crew, for example, if someone were to be “out sick” or traveling, they could still interact with the Crew on Set.
